North East Traditional Healer's Association (NETHA) is the brand child of Quality Council of India New Delhi, VSTCHP programme. Dr.Hesheto Y.Chishi than Nodal officer PrCB., VSTCHP programme of North East Christian University Dimapur, an empanelled Body of QCI, as a pioneer volunteers of the project realised diminishing values of our foreparents' traditional folkarts and was deeply moved by endangering community healthcare culture.
Since the inception of VSTCHP Schemes at NECU Dr. Hesheto Y. Chishi, as a traditional healer and cultural professionals took very keen interest to promote programme at the larger mass based scale through community participation. On feeling the urgent need to revitalize traditional dying folkart in the North East region, came up with the concept of forming traditional healers association. Initiated collective meetings during training programmes to motivate traditional healers, first in Dimapur Jan 11th, 2019, second at Shillong Meghalaya on 16 May 2019, where interim body under the convenorship of Dr.Hesheto Y.Chishi was formed. Finally with the conglomeration of TCHP certified healers, traditional healers and social concerned person collectively under the theme: "Healing Touch", launched North East Traditional Healer's Association (NETHA) on 13th August 2019, at Jorhat Assam.

- To cultivate and promote holistic approach of traditional knowledge.

- To be an agent of traditional, Cultural and community health builder.
NETHA to serve people of the region and the nation at the higher level aims to strengthen every member state healers through awareness and promotional programme of QCI Traditional healer's certification schemes, understanding power of nature's benefits and its traditional values on care for nature. Most of the NETHA Traditional healers are a certified healers of Traditional Community Healthcare Provider(TCHP) schemes. Traditional healing is an untapped entity, a new domain partially of Art and Cultural Heritage, AYUSH and Commerce department as well. Its core concept is to revitalize dying art of traditional knowledge of community healthcare services of our foreparents, preserve and conserve flora and fauna, render natural way of community healthcare services to every needy person without economical bearers, and most importantly to empower livelihood of traditional healers, without whom our traditional knowledge cannot be transmitted further.
NETHA, care with nature’s touch programme includes: Naga Massage & Arthritis, Traditional bone setting, Traditional Birth Attendant, Common Ailments, Jaundice, & Poisonous Bites. So far NETHA has a total number of 37 TCHP certified traditional healers: 8 from Tripura ,15 from Assam ,and 14 from Nagaland, besides there are 26 evaluators from all the north east states and other traditional healers. Following the line of NETHA, a state unit of Assam Traditional Healer's Association was formed on 13th August 2019, and Nagaland Traditional Healer's Association on 20th September 2019 respectively and other states are on the queue.

NETHA ACTIVITIES:
For the promotion of TCHP certification programme, and revitalization of traditional healer folkart, and herb with a new skill, NETHA have conducted a very successful camps. First traditional healer's health camp in the North East region at Dimapur on 22nd August 2019, was encouraged by huge response of the masses. Secondly, national and international level Traditional healers awareness and promotional programme went exceedingly well during Hornbill Festival, at Khesama Kohima that went from 1st Dec to 10th Dec 2019. Naga traditional massage and arthritis treatment were the main attraction of the festival. With immense response and feedbacks from both domestic and international tourists, need for more promotional activities arised.
HEALER'S CHAMBER A NEW INITIATIVE:
Inspite of unforeseen challanges from different quarters ie.,resources, negative notion on quack etc., to provide and ensure minimum cost effective, safety, efficacy, and natural quality community healthcare service to needy patients interested in traditional therapy and treatment on : Common Ailments, Jaundice, Arthritis, Traditional bone setting, Traditional Birth attendant and poisonous bites, NETHA felt enormous need to start consultation chamber in Dimapur Nagaland. Accordingly in collaboration with Indigenous Cultural Society, an accrediated NGO to UNESCO, a Traditional Healers' consultation chamber was officially Inaugurated in Dimapur Nagaland, on 21st Jan 2020, by Dr.P.Srinavas, MD., Ay., (PGDMD) AYUSH officer In Charge, Regional Ayurvedic Research centre Dimapur at ICS 2nd Floor Jakhalu Building City Tower Junction Dimapur, Nagaland India.
NETHA FUTURE PLAN:
To avail our minimum cost effective, safety, efficacy, and natural quality community healthcare service to needy and fulfill the demands of our clients and patients by opening our branch at Jorhat, New Delhi and other cities on priority.
