There will also be a solidarity chain. Around 1.000 participants of WHO and UN organizations will come together in Geneva and join hands to symbolize their commitment for a better hygiene care in hospitals. Also people around the world can take part in this solidarity chain by forming a chain in a central point of a healthcare setting. On the one hand they can take pictures or shoot a video with people who are holding each other’s hands, on the other hand they can put their hands up in the air or use an alcoholic scrub. Actions like this underline the importance of hygiene improvement.
